Assaf Margalit describes the world around him using color and motion in abstract compositions featuring cubo-futuristic & concrete art styles. Assaf blends design, illustration and photography in digital compositions. Bold, assertive colors, create depth, balance, stress and movement to evoke emotion in four unique collections spanning over a decade of work. The unique artwork appeals both to Interior Designers and Decorators to complement modern decor, as well as galleries and art collectors wishing to expand their current collections to unique new heights. Production is carefully planned by first testing different materials, a combination unique to each piece. The art works are then printed on a combination of aluminum, canvas, wood and acrylic substrates.

Artist Bio

Assaf Margalit is a Los Angeles-based artist who creates abstract wall sculptures. Assaf describes the world around and chapters in his personal life using colors, shapes and motion in abstract cubo-futuristic compositions. Assaf blends design, illustration and photography in digital compositions which are printed on sheets of various metals, glass and wood, laser cut and assembled into beautiful wall sculptures. Bold, assertive colors, create depth, balance, stress and movement to evoke emotion in a collection spanning over 17 years.

Assaf’s artistic journey began as a child, drawing simple layout of overlapping geometrical shapes which later in life evolved into more complex, vibrant abstract compositions. His education includes studies of fine art, design, and computer graphics as well as printing processes, science and engineering disciplines, lending to a unique set of skills that is both expressive and analytical and is reflected in the composition and construction of his art.

Assaf’s inspiration comes from a variety of sources. From fine artists such as Picasso, Braque, Boccioni, Popova and Lyonel Feininger, to edgy designers such as David Carson and Chris Foss, and architects such as Santiago Calatrava and Frank Gehry.
